11 Days Northern and Southern Safari.
Day 01: Arusha/Lake Manyara National Park (130km – 1½hours)
Pick up from the hotel in Arusha at 0900am and drive on tarmac road 130km with lunch
box to Lake Manyara National Park (330 sq km or 127 sq mile’s) on the base of the
Great Rift Valley, for the Afternoon game drives. The park is home to Lion, Hippo,
Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and
more…About 350 species of birds have been recorded. This small park contains also
five distinct vegetation zones. Thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. The
Manyara National park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos. In this park and
canoeing has recently been added to the tourist activities in this park at extra cost. This
is a great way to see the park from a new perspective. Dinner and overnight at

Day 02: Lake Manyara National Park/Serengeti National Park (205km – 5 hours)
Breakfast at around 0700am. Pick up from the Campsite at 0800am and drive to the
Great Serengeti National Park (14,763 sq km or 5,700 sq mile’s) with your Picnic Lunch
Packed and game drives en route via Ngorongoro Crater rim. Serengeti National Park is
a home to lion, leopard, Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Wild
dog, Gazelles, Crocs and more. Lot of birds includes the Eurasia migrants. Dinner and
Overnight at Thorne Tree Lodge. Meals Plan: {B, L, D}
Day 03: Full Day Serengeti National Park
after breakfast continues with both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti
national Park. Remember this is the migration safari, so as Serengeti is very large as
your game drives will depend on the move of the migrants, your guide knows very well
how to locate the herds. You will have all meals in your reserved Thorne Tree Lodge.

Day 04: Serengeti National Park/Ngorongoro Crater Rim (145km – 3 hours)
Wake up at 0600hours for early morning game drives in Serengeti at 0900 hours back
to the Campsite for breakfast. Then check out and drive with lunch and game viewing
en route to Ngorongoro Crater Rim. OPTION: Visit the Olduvai Gorge at extra fee for
the museum. Dinner and Overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge. Meals Plan: {B,L,D}
Day 05: Ngorongoro Crater Floor/ Lake Eyasi
A Visit to the Hadzabe
Wake up early morning for breakfast then at 0730hours descend into the Crater floor
(19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq km) for game drives. All the Big five Rhino Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are Zebra,
Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more…Birds includes flamingos on the Soda lake,
Geese, Storks, Vultures and more…Your lunch will be served in the picnic site in the
Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp a Hippo pool. After lunch proceed with fame viewing while
ascending the Crater and drive to lake Eyasi visit to Hadzabe Bougainvillea Lodge for
Dinner and Overnight. Meals Plan: {B, L, D}
DAY 6: Lake Eyasi
A Visit to the Hadzabe/ Tarangire National Park
In the morning you will set out with backpacks full of food and a few essentials. Your
destination is the deep forest surrounding Lake Eyasi, you again will go hunting and
gathering with your Hadzabe hosts. You will learn about the uses of various plants as
traditional medicines. After breakfast you will hike to the shores of Lake Eyasi, watching
birds and small mammals where you will encounter the reclusive Hadzabe, hunter-
gatherers still clinging to their traditional lifestyle. In the late afternoon you will go out
with dinner and overnight will be at Fanaka Lodge MTo-Wa-MBU.
Day 07: Tarangire National Park/Arusha Airport to Ruaha. (120km – 1½hours)
Breakfast at 0700am. Drive with your Lunch Packed into Tarangire National Park (2,850
sq km or 1,005 sq mile’s) for the morning game drives for half day game drive. The Park
is a home to Lion, Leopard, Elephant, buffalo, Python, Zebra, Oryx, Impala and more…
Over 450 species of birds have been observed. Thereafter Lunch make your last game
in afternoon drive en route to Arusha for the drop off to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast we will have a full day game drive with packed lunch provided at Selous
National Park to Selous Game Reserve, in the southeast of Tanzania this park
encompasses 54,600 sq km and it’s the largest game reserve in Africa, at least three
times big as the Serengeti. It was named after the Victorian explorer Fredrick Courtney
Selous. Created by the Germans in 1905, the park long attracted white big-game
hunters interested in accumulating trophies. Although the animals are now protected,
the park was listed as endangered in 2014. They are largely unaccustomed to man and
have remained fairly timid. Formerly home to 10% of Africa’s entire Elephant population,
Selous has lost 67% of its elephants due to poaching. It is classified as one of
Tanzania’s if not Africa brutal killing fields. With packed lunch provided have an
afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight will be at Kwihala Tented Camp/ Jongomero
Tented Camp.
Day 9: Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast we will have a full day game drive with packed lunch provided at Selous
National Park. The park has thousands of giraffe buffalo, hippopotamus and crocodile.
The crocs here like to take it easy on the sandy banks of the Rufiji River- this is one of
the longest in East, crossing the reserve from one end to the other. We can organize a boat ride here and guided walking safaris in the park dinner and overnight will be at
Kwihala Tented Camp/ Jongomero Tented Camp.
Day 10: Selous Game Reserve to Ruaha National Park
we will use flight to Ruaha National Park You will have full day in the Selous Game
Reserve exploration of the Reserve by 4 wheel drive vehicle. Dinner and overnight at
Zarafa Tented Camp (B, L, D). The Selous Game Reserve is the largest in Africa,
covering 54,600 square kilometer. The reserve gets its name from the hunter and
explorer Frederick Courtney Selous. He was killed here during World War 1. Selous is
famous for elephants. Other species commonly seen are lions, wild dogs, buffaloes,
bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras and greater kudus. It was originally set
aside as a hunting area where animals are abundant but more shy then the Northern
Parks. Excursions by 4×4 vehicle will permit you to have good photographic
opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of vast park.
Day 11: Ruaha National Park – Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, morning departure to Msembe airstrip. Departure for Dar Es Salaam at
11:45 hours for the 2 hour flight back to Dar Es Salaam. Alternative destinations and
onward journeys can be coupled to this itinerary.
