Drive through rural farmland to Londorossi Gate for registration, then begin a gradual ascent through lush montane rainforest. Watch for blue and colobus monkeys before reaching Mti Mkubwa Camp, tucked into the forest.

Summit Day — Uhuru Peak, descend to Mweka
Depart around midnight by headlamp, reaching Stella Point (5,756 m) on the crater rim near sunrise, then the final stretch to Uhuru Peak, 5,895 m — the roof of Africa. Descend to Barafu for a rest, then on to Mweka Camp.

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, transfer to Arusha
A final descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you receive your summit certificate. Transfer back to your Arusha hotel for a hot shower and a well-earned celebration.
